Update on Hacking Situation Topic by: Stephen
In a recent update by Hime from the Nexon forums, it seems that they are aware of the hacking situation and they will do something. However, the question is what.More than a year ago, Nexon began using the delayed autoban system and even longer than that, they have been using gameguard. Neither has been effective as seen through this hacker problem. In Hime's post, Hime says that over 2,000 people were suspended for hacking. However, in such an open game like MapleStory, all you really have to do is register a new account and you're good again. Don't forget that hundreds of people now have 30,000 (max) fameWith the success of OdinMS' anti-hacking system, perhaps Nexon should review its anti-hacking policies and cut off gameguard and use that money to invest in optimizing and securing their server and client code while not pissing off the community.Got any comments? Post it. Remember, guests CAN post! March 29th, 2008
